Minimalist counterbalance floor lamps are super flexible, with an arm adjustable to almost 180 degrees. The halogen light source is attached to a long arm holding a spherical counter weight. The arm sits on an angled stand with counter balance which can also be pivoted at almost 180 degrees. This gives the lamps optimize use. The stand is weighted on a brass hemisphere keeping the lamp well balanced on the ground. The lamp is made by Sölken Leuchten, Germany circa 1970. They make excellent reading lights or spot lights and are very versatile. The light source is halogen. The finish is shiny brass.
