Ritorto means twined in Italian. This hand blown glass vase is made up of columns of translucent twisted glass to form a spiral shaped vase in Persian blue. The ribbed vessel is enhanced by a rainfall of gold leaf flecks throughout its body. Archimede Seguso (1909-1999) formed his own glass factory in 1946, called Vetraria Archimede Seguso. In his factory he experimented with a wide range of forms and colors subject matters and abstract shapes.
