A pair of Brot Mirophar adjustable wall vanity mirrors with nickel plated frame and illuminated glass was created from 1927. The innovation of the Brot was the concept of an illuminated magnifying mirror with a fish-eye opaline glass. They were designed to prevent surface fogging and for the soft illumination for meticulous makeup and shaving. The Mirophar was originally conceived to equip the automobiles; but it was in the Luxury Hotels that the Mirophar found its success. This historic company was established in 1826 by François Brot, mirror maker to King Charles X.
