An expressive and characterful 1966 drawing by Dutch artist F. Brehm, depicting a cat named after Holland's famous footballer Johan Cruyff, with her kittens. The composition captures a remarkable sense of personality, with confident line work and subtle and rapid detailing that bring the subjects vividly to life. This work is part of a rare series of four related drawings (as shown in image 7-8-9-10), each exploring a cats character and emotion with a distinct artistic sensitivity due to intense observation. The piece stands beautifully on its own while also offering the opportunity to collect the complete set.
