Eighteenth-century set of six original engravings of Neo Classical grand architecture by Jean-François de Neufforge, (1714 - 1791), Belgian architect and engraver, known for his Recueil Elementaire d'Architecture, a eight folio volumes book of architectural engravings. The engravings cover the full range of buildings of his day including facades, floor plans, doors, columns, vases, stairways, fireplaces and fences. The book was widely used by architects in the 1700's. Neufforge's designs were intended for a wide range of people, from the middle class to the extremely wealthy from the Rococo style to the Greek revival. They include designs for facades of palaces, castles and public houses in Paris and an arch the triumph. They are presented in black wooden frames.
