Rare small table lamp, manufactured by Gino Sarafatti 1950's for Arteluce, Italy on Black Marble Base. The shade of the lamp is in black metal with perspex reflector hold by three pins. Perspex was a new and innovative material at that time. The lamp stands on a solid and high black marble round base. The rod it is attached by brass ball-joints on both sides of the stem which enables the shade to rotate and pivot. The lamp is in very good original condition.
Sarafatti was one of the most innovative lighting designers in Italy during the Mid-Century era. Their designs have been long sought after by collectors.
