Italian drinks trolley / bar cart attributed to Cesare Lacca, Italy circa 1950. Mid-century modern with pure elegance by tis slender and curvaceous lines in hand carved and French polished wood, brass and glass. It is a tree-tier three trolly, the glass shelves are encased with wood. The middle surface is a removable tray for serving with brass handles on each side. The iconic large front wheels ere not just decorative but makes the trolly extremely easy to manoeuvre. The wood shows its age aged on the surface throughout with some evident wear, overall it is considered in good condition with age and usage. Lacca was born in Naples in 1929, Italian architect-designer Cesare Lacca created modernist furniture and metalwork throughout the 1950's. Lacca designed tea carts and serving trolleys as well as magazine racks and coffee tables. Today, Cesare Lacca is appreciated for his contribution to the Italian design identity into the Italian post-war timeless design history.
