A pair of modernist Art Deco oak nightstands by renowned French designer Jacques Adnet (1900-1984) created in the 1930's. The open, geometric, cross-shaped cut outs on the sides and the raised edges along the top give this piece an architectural appeal. The warm finish of the oak wood contributes a distinctly Mid-Century Modern look. Adnet believed in the functional simplicity of design and was inspired by geometrical clarity and the classics of Greek and Roman antiquity.
The tables are repolished and in exellent condition.
