Compact ebonised wood table frame with pale green glass top and below sandwich between the legs and resting on two bars is a palisander veneered oval drawer with brass pull. Dark grained wood derived from various tropical American trees from Brazil or US. The console table was born in the late 17th century and throughout the 18th century in France; large console tables were placed in aristocratic mansions and palaces. In any space console table creates symmetry in a space and harmony.
