Venetian blown glass push and pull door handles from a hotel in Venice by Alfredo Barbini, late 1940s, Italy. Polar bears climbing on geometric glaciers set in glass block set in brass fixtures. One white and gold ice bear is white climbing a black glacier; one is in black and gold specked on a ultramarine blue glacier. Internal air bubbles and stable interior hairline on white bear has appeared in the making is secured by the clear glass casing. Provenance Giuliana Medda Milan, Italy.
