Born in Venice Barbini was one of the most leading master glassblower and celebrated designers of the 20th century. This large hand blown pinched vase and then etched with an abstract female portrait was produced for Oggetti. Oggetti was founded in 1975 their selection of art glass was imported from Italy and sold under the trademark. The vase is signed on the base L. Barbini Murano.
