The perfume Bottle by Carlo Scarpa (1906-1978) circa 1928-29 for MVM Cappellin company was formed in 1925 by Paolo Venini and Giacomo Cappellin. The bottle was hand blown into a heart shaped transparent and translucent emerald green glass. There is an applied ‘v’ shaped belt around the girth of the bottle that continues to the foot. The model no. 018 and the acid stamp 'MVM Cappellin Murano’ is etched. The pioneering Carla Scarpa highlighted his significant contribution to the art of Venetian glass seen through his collaboration with M.V.M. Cappellin. Carlo Scarpa experimented with the century-old techniques of glass making into a modern vocabulary.
