Pair of green Murano glass Sommerso table lamps, produced by using the technique '' Bullicante, '' into a cone shaped mold thick glass is applied then over laying air bubbles within the wall. The lamps were designed by Seguso Dalla Venezia, & C. Srl. (1951-65) Murano, Italy. They are stylish as bed side table lamps Sommerso glass making technique of creating two or more layers of contrasting glass without the colors mixing together. It is formed by dipping colored glass into molten glass of a different color, before blowing the glass into the required form. The outermost layer is often clear. During the 1950's the Sommerso style became world famous due to the work of Flavio Poli, artistic director of Seguso Vetri d'Arte. One lamp has the original label, this label was only used between the years 1951 to 1965.
